Observations on patterns that are independent of underlying instrument

 I have been sharing my #predictiveanalytics based findings on next 20 days outlook based on #patterns . Here I want to share my observations on patterns that are independent of underlying instrument. In examples shown below, one instance of pattern appeared in #Nifty and another in #spx #spx500 (S&P 500)

Example 1

Pattern appeared in SPX on 10-May-1985 where SPX had high 3.81%, Low -0.34% and close 2,84% in next 20 days compared to opening levels of the next trading day of mentioned date.

Same pattern appeared in Nifty on 06-Jan-2006 where nifty had high of 3.80%, Low of -4.47% and closed 3.64% in next 20 days compared to opening levels of the next trading day of mentioned date.


Example 2

Pattern appeared in SPX on 18-July-2016 where SPX had high of 1.24%, Low of -0.89% and close 1.07% in next 20 days compared to opening levels of the next trading day of mentioned date.

Same pattern appeared in Nifty on 4-May-2017 where Nifty had high of 3.1%, low of -0.94% and close 2.74% in next 20 days compared to opening levels of the next trading day of mentioned date.


Example 3

Pattern appeared in Nifty on 18-Nov-2014 where Nifty had high of 2.39%, Low of -4.43% and closed -4.25% in next 20 days compared to opening levels of the next trading day of mentioned date.

The same pattern appeared on 29-Nov-2017 in SPX with high of 2.62%, Low of -0.78% and closed 2.34% in next 20 days compared to opening levels of the next trading day of mentioned date.


Observation

1. At lease one side of High or Low of both the instruments is very close. High in case of Example 1 and 3 and Low in case of Example 2.

2. Example 1 and 2 continued to drive in the same lane so close side of both are on same side i.e. positive close while there was an exit by SPX that generated new pattern which is not discovered in multi-instruments yet.
